If you put Chalkpie on "ignore" list , the whole thread is only 1 page long

Hey I put myself on ignore, but I still see me!

There are two things at play here:

    1) I have major O/CD

    2) Cardiacs are the best band I've heard in years

    That's a recipe for disaster

    CArdiacs, where to start?

How about this bunch of a capella cardiacs covers by the 180 G's!

    Absolutely mindblowing.

I wish Tim could actually read stuff written here and realize his music and his art is so highly appreciated (even by a handful of fans )
    Kavus is this possible ?

and reading all this there is another artist I can think of that would also be due to this much of respect and appreciation but I guess he wouldn't be too interested...

    Curiousity aroused!

I do think that Cardiacs fans (and I am one of them) generally in their praise tend to overcompensate the fact that the band is so criminally ingored by the traditional music press.

Welton is a very interesting artist. The L. Voag album, The Way Out, is great, and there is a lot of other interesting stuff from his It's War Boys label, and even though he disowned his role in it, he did some good work as a member of The Homosexuals.

Well I don't want to hijack this thread discussing that
    Maybe a separate thread

My guess is that they will probably reissue the newer version unfortunately...but beggars can't be choosers.

One door opens another. This is pretty massive, especially for cardiacs fanatics. No need to ask me if I love this or not....

Besides the Tim tribute album that I bought out of sheer respect this William D. Drake is the only Cardiacs item I on and both have been gathering piles of dust on my shelf ...

I don't get the Suede comparison at all.

  25. #200
Me either to be honest. Madness - fine... An extraordinary group. Terrific songs, terrific writing. Clearly not in Cardiacs's league but a remarkable band nonetheless. In fact, Tim is a big fan. Suede though, Cardiacs aside, a pretty good rock group for what they were. But REALLY?
