Thank you for the wonderful Christmas present! I was still checking every day and got my order in a few hours ago.

Since I've now ordered M&MS&MD, where does that fit into my list? I still haven't listened to these yet, but should be soon now since the final ones are on their way.

BREAKING BAD!!!
Sorry, as you were. Merry xmas Timmy
Every time a new pic of Timmy gets posted on FB I swell with joy.
The fact that he looks progressively better helps too.
Holy shit! Sing to God is great.
Solos, pop songs, extended workouts, weird snippets, sing-a-long vox! Really loving this album right now.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.
seen on the very preppy northern isle of sylt (germany) … happy new year, pondies!

I cant get around that voice and chantish stuff still... damn. lol. I hear it going on... might take another year. or I'm not ready. something is wrong with me!
Maybe they're just not for you, Phlakaton? It's okay - most people don't. Thanks for not resorting to insulting the band like many detractors do.

What did you exactly heard? Maybe you just need to try some other "Stargate", like for Zappa... If I love sixties music I won't start with the Vai stuff...
Tim's voice (and perceived "yelling") is one of the reasons this band is so great for me. It gives it a manic energy that is rarely found elsewhere. There are a LOT of mediocre vocals out there, but this guy is a true original. Another aspect is the Englishness. As a yank, I simply can't get enough of his vocal stylings. The same can be said of the chanting-type of singing.
If those aspects are turning you off, then it might be a good idea to get off the ride or at least for a while. Or if you can learn to accept these aspects as a vital part of Tim and his music, then you may start to enjoy this band as much as we do.
Spot on chalkpie...same reason I love Andy Partridge and XTC. The vocals just seem so...REAL. It's manic, it's genuine, it's human.
Oh, of course Colin as well! I just mentioned Andy primarily because I'm dead certain Tim took many cues from him. OceanLandWorld positively SMACKS of Mr. Partridge.
But speaking of Colin, I always thought Jon Poole's vocals on The Whores version of Silvery sounded remarkably like early years Moulding.
I can see how someone might struggle with Tim's voice. In some moods, I just can't touch Cardiacs, because I'm not in the mood to hear that vocal style. In other moods, I can't get enough of it.

I think everyone has a good point. I'm going to let them rest for a while. I can certainly hear some amazing music happening... maybe down the road I'll give them a run again. Now back to the new Morgan Agren - Batterie Deluxe!
The Special Garage Concerts is the best live album ever.
I got my last shipment in yesterday. Tomorrow morning starts my journey.
It's really hard to believe all of the songs were written <1984...they are deliriously good and work perfectly live. Oh fuck, it's such a RELENTLESS racket. And so catchy too. You can tell the band was having a lot of fun.
"Spiderman, Spiderman..."
Doesn't get talked about enough, even among Cardiacs circles.
