apropos of nothing, I just saw what will be one of my top concerts of the year, maybe THE top concert.

The Claudia Quintet - who I have seen many times and who always astonish me.

These guys are so magnificent and so beyond 'jazz' or any other category that they make music that could only be theirs.

There are still 3 dates left in the tour; I strongly encourage anyone with any interest in 'beyond categories' music to see them if they are coming near you:

October 24 - Duke Hall Gallery of Fine Art, James Madison University - 800 South Main St. - Harrisonburg, VA - free concert!

October 26 - Constellation - 3111 No. Western Ave - Chicago, IL

October 27 - Edgefest - Kerrytown Concerthouse - Ann Arbor, MI

I saw them Friday in New Haven (Firehouse 12) and they were extraordinary!

I am sorry that I missed them when they were in the NYC area. The video on their facebook page sounds great.
