(Justin Hayward - Night Flight)
I found out about that album a couple weeks ago when prepping my show with Ristovski material.
It, uh, didn't make the cut.
I also didn't include the album of Yugoslavian patriotic songs, although it has its moments.

Laza Ristovski (RIP) did do a lot of different things in his solo carrier, as music for the theatres & many films; as he lived by his music only, he composed and played even for Serbian folksingers too - a lot of commercial shit indeed.
However, his '70s works with Smak and Bijelo Dugme, his solo albums like Stižemo (with Bijelo Dugme's drummer Goran "Ipe" Ipandić, 1978), Merge (1982) and 2/3 (1983) show that he was an extremely gifted keys player and composer.

These tracks are from his excellent chillout ambient album released in 1994 (with Aleksandar Lokner & Bebi Dol):

Some great Ristovski's Hammond organ /'tron/ piano / synth solos on the tracks that he recorded with Yugo-prog bands Bezimeni (Maštarenje, instrumental, 1971; as a curiosity, Ristovski was just 15 yrs old when this track was recorded), Bijelo Dugme (Sanjao sam noćas da te nemam the song, 1976) and Smak (Balet, instrumental, 1981).

Ristovski's Beyond the Horizon (1982) and Pulsing Star (1983) are some of the most beautiful spacey tracks of the Electronic Music in the time of analog sythesizers.
Enjoy!
