I've been battling a minor flu bug for the past week and a half. My wife got a new scale just as the flu kicked in and I was surprised to see that I had taken off fifteen pounds or so since last August. I lost a lot of water weight in the last week so I am going to check next week for a current total. If I keep this up I might end up under two bills for the first time in several years.

Yes and no. I see how to put a bookmark in, but once you then go somewhere else in the book, the bookmark seems to disappear. My problem is that I'm reading a book that has front matter I need to refer to at times, and I have to just keep remembering the page I was on before leaving it. The Kindle interface seems a bit like it might have been designed by the people who designed iTunes.
On some Kindle apps there's an option to go to another section of a book - like a map - and then hit resume which takes you back to the original place you were in. I've found it by accident a few times.

Good luck, Ian! My wife had this many years ago, and has been much better for it.
She found that the recovery therapy was important - and then found that the best thing (by FAR) for recovery was the recumbent bike. She eventually dropped the therapy, bought a recumbent and used it for a few months - and it helped immensely.

Really? What kind of Kindle do you have? The old one with the buttons, the Paperwhite, or the Fire?
I think what I do in those situations is commit the page I keep referring to to memory and then use the back button to go to the page I was just reading. Or you could use a bookmark for the "front matter" and then use the back button... or a bookmark, too.My problem is that I'm reading a book that has front matter I need to refer to at times, and I have to just keep remembering the page I was on before leaving it.

Yeah. Good luck Ian.
Hi, new to this thread. Anyone have any recommendations or advice regarding hearing aids? Music is very important to me and would consider myself an audiophile. Have been tested by ENT, seeing him again today as well as audiologist. Choice may be Phonak or Starkey, thanks.
My Dad tried a couple hearing aids over the years, and they didn't work to his satisfaction. A friend of his got good results with a hearing aid purchased at Sam's Club, so he went for an exam. If it worked, he figured he'd get one, as he considered the other ear to be dead. In the test, they determined that they could help both ears, so he did buy aids for both ears. He can hear now, doesn't isolate himself, doesn't have to read lips, etc. The technology has greatly improved from his earlier purchases. You may want to try them.
