Nice win for Newcastle
Is it just me or have the recent VAR issues just emboldened managers to complain about everything?

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

^ They will complain regardless. But man there are some absolute shite call sometimes....mindblowing really.
PS...RIP to those poor fans and children who died in Indonesia. Stuff like that should just not happen ever. 4k+ extra tickets sold to begin with? Recipe for disaster.
Great win for Everton today.
Ian - Toons in 6th - wow.
We're playing well, lovely to see Klopp befuddled

After 60+ years of mostly ignoring professional soccer I've started watching some matches, mostly because: 1.)I now have more time on my hands and 2.) the English Premier League matches are all over the streaming services these days. Anyway, I know little but have been enjoying watching. A couple of questions if you'll indulge me: What's with all the singing/chanting? One match I watched, the fans chanted the same thing throughout the entire match, accompanied by either foot stomping or drumming. Also, does the head coach of Manchester United intentionally dress like a Bond villain or is that just a coincidence?
Chants/songs are part of the culture surrounding football clubs...usually in Europe, South America, etc. We don't have this in North America (for the most part). Sometimes each player has their own song, or can have their own song. It makes for an amazing experience (pending the songs aren't racist or vulgar).
Remember that these folks are absolutely FANATICAL about this sport....our sports don't even come close to the level of fanaticism that Premier League fans have for instance. They have generally one sport to follow, where the USA has many sports diluted over the population. The opposing fans can't even sit amongst each other like they do here...that says it all right there. The atmosphere is absolutely electric at these matches. Biggest popular sport in the world for a reason. World Cup coming up in November...you're getting into football at the right time ⚽️!
ManUre did used to be known as the Evil Empire so Bond villain seems right.

Everton is fucked. An absolute shambolic club at every level. We will have the most elaborate grounds in the Championship for many years. I can't believe where this club is after spending half a £BILLION (!!!) on rubbish players. Frank is out of his depth and the entire team and community is toxic. Really sad. I can see why supporting the reds is just easier. The fans will get the short end of the stick.
You are not alone, the fall from grace at West Ham is every bit as bad. I can’t believe Moyes is still in place, he should have been sacked before the World Cup, we have been dreadful for a year, and yet we invested £160m in the team last summer. How can a side that includes Rice, Pacquetta, Scamacca amongst many other internationals be so woefully inept?
I feel for you mate! Unfortunately we are both going to have to scrap it out....but I would honestly gamble that the Hammers end up safe while EFC goes down. I just think this is finally the year that Scousers meet Beezlebub. Last year we were saved by the thinnest thread imaginable, and celebrated like we won the fuckin' World Cup and Champions League simultaneously. You have the Everton curse with the Moyes connection, and I'm only half kidding when I say that this club has been cursed since the Martinez era.
Nils Satis Nisi Optimum is an absolute joke and perfect irony for this club.
Howay tha Toon!

New manager, few good strategic buys, manager getting the best out of existing players. Man U, Forest, West Ham, Spurs & Wolves have all spent more in 2022. Joelinton has been transformed as a hard working midfielder, Almiron has added goals to his hard working game. Pope (EU15M), Trippier (EU12M), Botman (EU27M), & Guimaraes (EU33M) have all been outstanding and good value buys. The team works hard, has good spirit, are well organized and get goals throughout the squad.

Seems like you were in a similar situation not long ago, but the difference is NUFC found a way to fix things whereas EFC just keeps fucking up ad nauseum. This team doesn't have the will to properly fight if they are relegated to the Championship. Scary times for the Toffees.
It’s an unusual situation for sure, and it’s strange that both managers have very strong links to the opposition. I would almost sacrifice the three points to ensure change. We still have half a season to get out of this but with Moyes at the helm I can’t see us progressing, he seems to have lost everything and everybody, it’s hard to comprehend.
Don't know if you saw this, someone pranked the BBC and hid a phone in their MOTD set and played porn noises during todays broadcast
