NECROMONKEY is the brainchild of founding (and former) member of the critically-acclaimed Swedish progressive band Änglagård, drummer/multi-instrumentalist Mattias Olsson, and multi-instrumentalist David Lundberg of the eclectic Swedish progressive band Gösta Berlings Saga. Necromonkey's live performances feature extended flights of intense, hard-hitting improvisation, are driving, intricate, challenging, blisteringly hard-rocking, often dark and always different and fresh. Necromonkey's music is unfailingly mesmerizing, cathartic and tremendously powerful, and never fails to blow away their captivated and loyal audiences worldwide.
FROGG CAFE is a veteran 5 piece progressive fusion band from the New York metropolitan area that has been making compositionally rigorous music since the late 90s. Frogg Cafe's style is hard to categorize. Incorporating Zappa-inspired eclecticism, thoughtfully composedand arranged melodies, intricately woven improvisation and brass-heavy fusion jazz, Frogg Café’s music is also peppered with an appealing variety of other flavors including latin and reggae rhythms, bluegrass textures, modern chamber music and occasional avant-garde/experimental dissonance. Energetic live shows feature extended weavings of kinetic group improvisation that would draw grins from any hardcore jam-band fan. Frogg Cafe is Nick Lieto (vocals, keyboards, trumpet, flugelhorn), Bill Ayasse (vocals, violin, mandolin, electric mandolin), Andrew Sussman (vocals, bass, cello), John Lieto (vocals, trombone, little wood egg shaker, big smiles) and James Guarnieri (drums, moustache).
Produced by Cathryn Roache for Viper Studios in association with Charles Moses, Mattias Olsson and Bill Ayasse. John Chrils, staging technician. Real-time live audio stream on www.houseofprog.com produced by Kevin Feeley. Questions? email Cathryn Roache at CatRoache@gmail.com
