    Bjorn J:son Lindh

The late Swedish flautist, pianist, composer. Anyone care for his music?

I think most of the swedish prog musicians and fans pay some sort of tribute to him.

Definitely a fan! Have most of his albums from the early 70s on LP. Great jazz flute albums similar to Chris Hinze and Lloyd McNeill.

He was a great performer on flutes and recorders, a decent keyboard player but most prominently a composer. From the early world music fusion albums of the 70s to the more proggy, ambient and neo-classical stuff of the 80s and 90s, as well as 20+ film music scores.

One of the neo-classical pieces from his Opus Europa project - a collaboration with concert pianist Staffan Scheja

    More proggy stuff...

In all my record store travels I've only encountered a used copy of "Ramadan". I bought it and love it. 70's funky jazz fusion.

Haven't got his solo-work, but love his contributions on albums from Janne Schaffer, Isildurs Bane, Opeth and Leif Strand.

His albums are pretty rare in the US. Spirits of Europa with Staffan Scheja was released on the CBS label and is readily available but much other titles I don't even believe were released on the CD format.

Couscous is a nice album. Released in the US on Metronome.
