    Niko Tsonev leaves Lifesigns

Facebook message by John Young of Lifesigns today:

"I know some of you will already know but just to say that Cropredy was Niko's last show with the band.
He has decided it's time to move on to pastures new and as such we wish him much luck and happiness with all future musical endeavours.
We've loved working with Niko these last three and a half years.
It's been an amazing time and we have great memories to take with us as Lifesigns continues it's journey forwards."

A pity, as far as I'm concerned. Lifesigns has become such a tight and enjoyable band on stage.

    Who 's in? Guthrie Govan?;-)

I know he knows John Young. And since Iona is as always moving at a snail's pace I guess he might be able to combine it with his commitments to Strawbs, for which John Young used to play.

David Bainbridge just announced as one of three guitarists for the upcoming "Cardington" cd.

The other two are Robin Boult (Fish) and Menno Gootjes (Focus).

I am actually really hoping he will become the new guitarist in the live line-up as well. He is a stellar player and would love to see him in a band where he just has to focus on that instead of multitasking like he does in Iona and Celestial Fire.
