Rabin reveals a few ARW details in new interview

I think quite a bit of music has been written: part of what had been Trevor Rabin's next solo album with vocals and the ARW songs written a while ago. My guess is that they are deciding what goes on the ARW album or EP if they record that.

Should be fun. We haven't gotten enough 1980s Yes in recent years for obvious reasons. I really hope that they "Wakemanize" the 80s tracks, given that they have the man himself in the group.

UK dates have almost sold out, certainly all stalls & 1st tier seats have gone! Had to pay a premium price for a 'box seat' in Nottingham! Wasn't going to miss this!

The thing is, even though they are warhorse/chestnuts, neither Rabin nor Wakeman originally played on ISAGP or ST. With so much material to choose from (but none that they all created together) I would imagine they'd stick mostly to songs that at least two of them can claim as their own... but who knows?

And put me down for "Hearts" as well. Always dug that one

They won't play GFTO, or anything that features Steve Howe's pedal steel. I think the only 70s songs likely to come up for consideration (because Trevor has played them at some point in the past) are:

- Yours Is No Disgrace
- Starship Trooper
- I've Seen All Good People
- Perpetual Change
- Roundabout
- Long Distance Runaround
- Heart of the Sunrise
- And You And I
- Awaken

That's a sizeable chunk of music and as long as they go a good job balancing it against the 80s/90s stuff they could pull off a nice setlist. The other X factor will be the other band members and how well they step into their roles in the arrangements.

Although I'm going to go see ARW, and looking forward to it, I'm overall feeling this is a diversion from touring IOK and doing a more collaborative follow-up with Roine.

I'm not certain it is possible that Jon Anderson can do a show without presenting one of the songs from CLOSE TO THE EDGE.
Among the 14 concerts I've attended, this has not yet occurred.
