Thomas Dimuzio was an integral contributor on the 5UU's Hunger's Teeth and Crisis in Clay from '94 and '97, respectively - and they are definitely not noise but rather some of the most definingly (avant-)progressive in rock of that decade. His *SOLO* stuff, however (of which there is a lot more, as he's primarily an audio Laboratory wizard) counts works that border pretty closely on more advanced contemporary noise music.
