Norway's Airbag does the PF thing pretty well actually.

I did see a review on Laser's Edge recently that said a band sounded like Glass Hammer. Wish I remember who it was. Funny how bands who are accused of being too retro or too clonish actually have an identifiable sound of their own. I think back to the mid 90's and I discovered the bands Cairo, ArsNova and Mastermind, and all three were described as sounding like ELP. And its true that all 3 had a big ELP influence in their sound, yet they sounded completely different from one another.
Not at all, I find it very convenient. It means I don’t have to waste my time listening to said band. Not that I dislike PF, far from it, but when a band (at least a latter-day one) receives the annotation “like Pink Floyd,” it generally means “mopey, soporific and boring as hell.”
