Knifeworld: Any friends (and friends only) of this current prog artist?

No foes this time around as an active member is amongst us (as well as taking advice from Jero ). So, any fans of Kavus and his amazing band?

Plenty of friends on this board - I am one of them. Love their latest release Bottled out of Eden. To me it is their best.

Hope I can catch them live over here in the Netherlands one day.

Kavus is coming over for dinner Friday. We're going to knock off a few pints and laugh about old times.

^ Can't say I've ever shared a beer with Kavus, but I did stand near him in the audience at the recent North Sea Radio Orchestra gig in Camden. Does that count? I also have my tickets for Guapo and Upsilon Acrux in a couple of months.

I was late on board with Knifeworld, but the new album is tops. One of my faves this year.

The new album is tremendous. I loved The Unravelling but Bottled Out Of Eden is something truly special. In my Top 3 of 2016 (along with Big Big Train and Anderson/Stolt.)

This song is just so...trippy. Those horns, that bass line.

I like what I've heard, but don't have any of their releases.

In some ways, they seem like a more "normal" version of the Cardiacs - a related sound, but less herky-jerky, closer to regular psych-pop, less bizarre musical unpredictability, and Kavus's voice sounds a lot more like the alt-rock guy next door and a lot less like Tim's mix of the most eccentric aspects of Andy Partridge, Johnny Lydon, and Mark Mothersbaugh.

I like Knifeworld, never seen them live though. But I've seen Kavus live many times both with Cardiacs and The Monsoon Bassoon.

Came to them via Guapo with the Kavus connection, love the last two albums to bits, both top 10 on the last 5 years. Kavus is also a lovely bloke so thats a bonus & I'm a sucker for bassoons. They really have a psyche wonky pop feel that scratches an itch every time.

I really love the new album, and also The Unravelling, so I count myself a friend of the band. I managed to catch a little of their set at the recent Stone Free festival, but sadly missed the first half due to traffic. I introduced myself to Kavus after, he was a very affable chap, and the paparazzi snapped us mid chat...

Cool band, but I wish that Syd Barrett guy would ditch his expensive guitar and get himself an eight string M80M WK Premium Meshuggah Signature axe.

He'll be reading all this and playing with himself. Can we not say something critical to balance it out, like what the fuck has he got on his feet in Sunlight Callers photo?

Someone should plug his radio show. I'm on my phone and can't do it.

Gezz-us, let the guy have some fun. Forty five years ago he would have been a gazillionaire, but probably with the same footwear!
