Wasn't a Hollywood movie, but of you want to see early erotic flick, check out an 18 year old Hedy Lamarr cavorting in nature fully nude in a 1933 Czech film "Ecstacy". "Her role was that of a neglected young wife married to an indifferent older man. The film became both celebrated and notorious for showing Lamarr's face in the throes of orgasm as well as close-up and brief nude scenes". I think it's the first film with a full nude scene in it.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
Speaking of movies where the villains win at the end, "Diabolique" is on TCM next Friday. In fact, all next week, they are featuring movies with great endings during prime time.

A few years back I was on both a Hedy Lamarr and a Ava Gardner kick, fascinated by both actresses, and I have an uncut restored DVD version of Ecstasy. That movie caused a bit of a sensation and got her noticed here in the US paving the way for future roles. Of course she claimed the nudity was shot without her permission.
I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.

I love the shot of the woman fastening her garter belt to her stocking (at 1:44). Obviously a shot for the fetishists.

Right now TCM is supposed to have on something called Ireland: The Emerald Isle, but instead it’s some John Wayne movie. What John Wayne movie is it?
EDIT: Looks like it was “The Big Stampede.”
Also they have on Tarzan and His Mate on today for some reason, amidst the Irish stuff.

Now on TCM watching Red Barry starring Buster Crabbe. A serial I never heard of with Asian stereotypes a-flyin, and to cap it off a shot of Pell Street in Manhattan’s Chinatown, where my grandmother lived before it was Chinatown!
God, there were so many attractive and/or hot Hollywood actresses back in the 20s & 30s. Jean Arthur, Blondell, Clara Bow, Joan Crawford, Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis (in her own way), and even this young beauty (Ginger Rogers is on the right):
Anyone wanna hazard a guess as to who this is?

I knew there was a serious sibling rivalry, but this goes into a lot of detail: The Truth Behind Olivia de Havilland and Joan Fontaine's Epic Feud

Am I wrong or do the elephants in Tarzan and his Mate have fake ears? Maybe they’re really Indian elephants?
Wow, strange movie. The guy who shoots Tarzan is never outed for doing that, though he does die.
This is one of the desktop photos I use on my Mac. I'm always struck by the legs of the beauties. For those of you who might not recognize it, it's from the masquerade ball from "The Phantom of the Opera" (1925).
