Found the clip on YouTube. Underoos at about the one and a half minute mark

I'm ready to go back to Titanic! Yowza!

Another not B&W, but yesterday I watched some of The Fearless Vampire Killers on TCM. I'd never seen it - very interesting. I'd also never really seen even photos of Sharon Tate, but she was gorgeous in that movie! Oh, to climb into that bathtub...

You know, they say that Janet Leigh's nude body was never shown in the movie, but it is clearly there in all it's upper-torso glory as she is grabbing the shower curtain right before she falls. Yes, it's blurred in the background, but it's quite obvious.

Body double? I don't know this for a fact, just from Terry Johnson's Hitchcock Blonde, which is the fictionalized story of Leigh's body double who had to stand naked in the shower all afternoon.

Never heard that before. Not to say it's not true. But I do know that Janet Leigh said that after making that movie she never took a shower for the rest of her life.

Yep, but that scene was cut out for a long time then it started to appear. Cable maybe?

Hitch knew how to get the most out of his actresses.

Sharon Tate is interesting even beyond the Manson thing. I read that she did play in some rather odd films. Does anyone know who the father of her child was at the time?

I just thought of another movie I watch every time it's on, although, it's not on much at all.

"Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde" (1932) with Frederich March in an Oscar-winning role. He's pretty amazing in this movie. When he transforms, it's much more than make-up. You could swear it's another actor. The movie is also pre-code and VERY racy. I highly recommend it.

I assume it was Roman Polanski. He was her husband.

Wow!. I'm stunned. I've only heard talk about her but this is amazing.

Guess it was too much for the three possible networks and local TV would have been scared to death.

I've never seen it but anything with Mr. March is worth seeing. What an actor.

You have to see this movie.

EDIT: And you're in luck. It's on twice over the next six weeks on TCM:

Broadcast times are not prime time. So, hopefully you can DVR or record it.

John Barrymore's 1920 version of Jekyl & Hyde is pretty cool, too.

    Any fans of "Svengali"?

Pretty much anything Barrymore plays is good enough for me.

    Frederic March.

Notice the cool effect they have at the beginning of his transformation. They used special makeup that reacted to changes in the lighting. Very cool.

I hated The Fearless Vampire Killers when I first saw it, but I since saw that many people regard it highly. Maybe I need to revisit it.

I of course know Sharon Tate for Valley of the Dolls, which is cheesy and unintentionally hilarious, the Showgirls of its day.

Speaking of B&W classics, I was thinking of one of my all-time top comedies, W. C. Fields’ It’s a Gift. First saw it when I was all of five years old. Now, all these years later, it still has the power to have me laughing out of control.

My vote for the funniest scene in all of cinema history:

Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883...

^^ WC Fields was great! I love that scene!!

Arguably the funniest man who ever lived. And he was a great sleight of hand artist, too.
