Perhaps the original LP mix + 4 CDs of outtakes.
    Nice!

    It's official.

"78 is a special number. "Zappa In New York" was released in 1978 and today would have been FZ’s 78th birthday!
To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the release of "Zappa In New York," we have something special planned for you that we will announce for pre-order in the New Year.
Additionally, tickets for The Bizarre World Of Frank Zappa will go on sale in January! "

So when did “Chrissy Puked Twice” become “Titties ‘N Beer”? Both appear on this set.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.

A 28-plus-minute version of "Black Napkins"???

They used to do really epic jams on that with the Eddie Jobson lineup. There's a similarly lengthy version from Paris that is legendary.

When FZ wrote the liner notes for Zappa In New York I guess. The ZINY shows had the Chrissy verse but it was edited out of the album.

Le Serviette Noir takes up the whole side of a boot that I bought around '80 or so.

I think it's the same show, incomplete from a vinyl boot in the first link and complete and mostly from tape in the second.

I would expect that one of the two versions of “Chrissy Puked Twice” (probably the CD3 one) will be the full length version of “Titties ‘N Beer” that appeared on the extended 2CD ZINY release.
CD1 looks like it might be the original censored record (i.e. excluding Punky's Whips).
This track and the other 4 "bonus" tracks from the 2CD release are probably among those included on CDs 2 & 3.
I'm sure we'll find out in due course.

"Cruising For Burgers (1977 Mix)" may be a mix that has circulated online that is the same performance as on the ZINY 2CD, except that on the 2CD Zappa rerecorded the opening theme with a different guitar tone.

I was conceived somewhere around November 73 - maybe Zappa is my father.

4 CDs for a C-note because of a stupid costume.

My mother was born on the same day, same year as Zappa. Maybe she is FZ. And your father.

I was JUST going to post that the 4 CDs would be a lot more attractive to me (and to our customers) if it were only 4 CDs and was priced accordingly....

This is so embarrassing. They must think Zappa fans are ten years old. And it looks like it may be an even bigger waste of precious shelf space than the last Halloween mask production, thanks to the inclusion of a pair of plastic hands. The music is going to be great. Sell us the music.

In some attractive packaging that pays tribute to FZ's legacy. This new Halloween thing is the ugliest pile of dung they've come up with so far. FZ once said in an interview, I don't want to be in the dry goods business, I just want to sell my art and music.

You should offer a $100 NDR Jazz Workshop/Switzerland 1974 bundle that comes with a Karl Jenkins wig.

edit: I should probably admit that I did shell out for the manhole cover ZINY, but I'm not going to admit it in full-sized text.
