Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883...
I've had trouble copy/pasting the 'w' in Udu Wudu before. It just made Wudu look all weird.
The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off
This is going to be difficult, coz I don't have them all, and some I own, haven't been played much (lack of time)

Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world.
honestly, I could live with just 3 Magma albums
Udu Wudu
MDK
Live
but the crazy thing is, there are so many great albums I couldn't live without which were made by Magma related musicians
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Cant really rate them, and those I dont mention are also great ! Even Merci has qualities.
Its more about what spins the most and IMO Magma is best as a live band.

The ones I listen to the most are:
[for studio]: Köhntarkösz, Wurdah Ïtah, 1001* Centigrades, K. A, M.D.K., Ehmenteeeee-hee-haa-he [Christ!] and Attahk.
[for live]: Retrospektiw 1+2, Theatre du Taur, Live/Hhai, Bruxelles Theatre 140 and BBC 1974 Londres.
"Improvisation is not an excuse for musical laziness" - Fred Frith
"[...] things that we never dreamed of doing in Crimson or in any band that I've been in," - Tony Levin speaking of SGM
I've only heard MDK, as I was told by various PE members that that was the best place to start. So I can't really comment. And I still have a lot of exploration to do.
Crossbow to head - my favorite is the Trianon Trilogie, but I pretty much love it all. BBC Londres is kick ass, and Felicite Thosz was a real unexpected gem of an album to my ears.
I like how people are separating studio and live recordings so I'll do the same.
Studio:
1. Kohntarkosz
1a. MDK (I liked MDK a little more for the longest time, but now that I'm a little older I think I slightly prefer Kohntarkosz)
2. Magma (1st album)
3. K.A.
4. Slag Tanz (if this counts as an album)
5. Félicité Thösz
6. Wurdah Itah
7. Attahk
8. Udu Wudu
9. 1001 Degrees (especially side 2)
10. Ëmëhntëhtt-Ré
Live:
1. BBC Londres 1974
2. Live/Hhai
3. Retrospektiw 1+2
4. Reims 1976
5. If this counts I like the two VanderTop live recordings because I like "La Musique de Spheres" quite a bit
6. Bourges 1979
