R.I.P. Teri Garr at 79. I always found her very likeable.

R.I.P. artist Greg Hildebrandt. Greg is famous for creating one of the first Star Wars posters for the first movie, and years of work with his artist brother on fantasy art. He created the cover art for Starcastle’s “Citadel” album. Black Sabbath used a piece of his art for the Mob Rules album. And he took over doing the artwork for Trans-Siberian Orchestra starting with their fourth album.

One of my favourite albums. RIP.
Quincy Jones has died. He was 91. Lived a fantastic and productive life for sure.
RIP Mr. Jones
"Frozen flaking fish raw nerve...In a cup of silver liquid fire" - Jethro Tull
Yep, just saw that. RIP Quincy Jones
I remember as a kid (I was about 11) my dad brought home a copy of the Dude. I liked the lyrics to the title track but didn't pay much attention to the rest of the album. Probably around the same time I found out he was the guy who composed the theme for Sanford and Son.
For those who don't know his daughter is the very lovely actress Rashida Jones.

Do not suffer through the game of chance that plays....always doors to lock away your dreams (To Be Over)
Wow. Q was a GIANT. He is literally everywhere in music history going back to the late 1940s. He worked with Lionel Hampton, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, and on and on. Amazingly talented man. An actual musical genius.
