I cannot fathom how they did this, but if it's real, its very cool.

I need to buy a turntable and some weed - ASAP! Then I'll be offline for about a week...
I saw the story for this popping up on some geek sites. If I were flush I'd be springing for this thing right now.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart
Jack White and Rush both did this a year or two ago.
I have the jack White lazaretto lp. First issues were blue and white vinyl.
Besides the angel hologram (which is not really a hologram but pretty close) you can also play hidden tracks on the paper label. Also A repeating locked track like moby grape did years ago, (dont fall asleep with this one playing). Also you can play side 2 from inwards to out. (Which seems like it would not be good for the needle) side 2 was made to look like a old 78 rpm lp... No raised ridge on edge of lp.... and last but not least depending on where you drop the needle on one track you will hear either an electric or acoustic version.
One weird gimmicky album.
Still alive and well...

I have the Jack White on vinyl as well. I bought it specifically for the gimmicks. I play the CD more.
