    Bowie - Black Star
Three Trapped Tigers - Silent Earthling
    Esperanza Spalding - Emily's D+Evolution

All great to me. Not bad but I found the new Tortoise, Mogwai and Radiohead to be not as good as I had hoped. Still looking forward to the new Swans and new Kayo Dot.

My favorites that come to mind are 'Yugen' and 'Bent Knee', although I really feel I'm forgetting something important to me.

There are too many I have yet to hear.

Schizophrenic computer noodling from the Ukraine programmed by people dressed up like Sun Ra. If these people started a Mini-Cab business, Aphex Twin would work in the dispatch office.

Incidentally, if you accidentally put, “Gravitspa” into Google rather than “Gravitsapa,” the first result is a business called “Gravity Spa” in Ohio.

If you’re ever in the area, I recommend booking a session in one of their flotation tanks and listening to this music for at least five hours. If you’ve ever seen the Ken Russell film “Altered States” and wanted to recreate it, this is your chance.

I'd say Red Bazar is neo-prog, not heavy prog.

Neo-prog was a synonyme for British symphonic rock revival which was occurred in the 80s. Today, "neo-prog" is just one of artificial "genres" at progarchives, along with "crossover prog", "eclectic prog" etc.

Red Bazar are playing contemporary progressive rock which is slightly heavier.

I'm adding 'Big Big Train' to my list. Very beautiful, deeply poignant, probably my favorite of their work. The chorus of 'Along The Ridgeway' is deep and very personal. Just haunts me.

As to 'Bent Knee', the song 'Nakami' just floors me. Definitely has a wow factor that is very rare.

Prog wise, Headspace, Big Big Train and Multi Story have been my favourites so far. All excellent. However, the new album I've listened to the most has been Rick Springfield's Rocket Science which is a real blast.

Expecting big things from Kansas & Marillion!
