    1/2 Step Out

If there's already a thread here on this month's YouTube craze, forgive me.

Not sure how they do this, but it's a hoot!

And so are a lot of of the comments.

Dream Theater sounds off for sure.
KISS...OK...what's the difference? Sounds no different to me.

Wasn't as big as a difference as I was expecting. Here's more...

    Those two sound really odd.

They take the Rock Band multi's, grab the isolated vocals, throw them into Audacity (or other editing program) and change the key.

I assume 1/2 step out is what many others in the music branch call 1/2 a tone off?

That a lot of work for no noticeable humor/shock reward...waste of time IMHO.

Well, I agree with Sean that they're very funny to listen to.

Yes, it's the same thing. The term "step" as in "half step" or "whole step" is really not uncommon based on my own experiences.

(for the record I didn't find these very funny...just hard to listen to!)

Funny with a small f. Though after listening to avant for a long time anything can go when it comes to notes, so in a way I found it twistedly appealing in a perverse way.

Ha! I was thinking along similar lines, but still...I can't listen to those for long.

These videos make me feel like I could be a rock singer - I could at least start out this "good."
