Thread: New Oldfield- Return to Ommadawn

I've gotten to like this more, though I still think it would have been better not being a sequel. It could stand on its own just fine with a different title and without the sample snippet of Ommadawn's only flaw.

    Question regarding "Return to Ommadawn":

Online there are some screen captures from a RtO animated video, such as this:

I bought RtO today, and the disc is listed as a "CDV" which led me to believe it might be a hybrid disc with some video files on it. However my Mac doesn't see them. So... is there an RtO animated video somewhere?

Yes, quite so. It sounds to me like he must use a very narrow gauge on his guitar strings, with a lot of note bending going on. Reminds me a lot of Glenn Phillips’ characteristic tone, except Glenn always sounds like his guitar is on the verge of blowing up.
