Van der Graaf Cat's eye , promo film

VAN DER GRAAF, CAT'S EYE promo clip
Here’s another treasure I have , This time it’s coming from a 16mm film which I have for a very long time.
I brought it to a professional studio to digitalize the clip. Big thanks to Jim Christopulos to encourage me!! Herman Permentier.
Mr Peter Hammill's reaction; Once again I've got no memory of doing this at all - so much for my brain cells@! And, once again, great work and I'm quite happy for you to put this out there

'Jim Christopulos ", co-author of the VdGG book".: "Wow!! Mystery solved, then! In an old Mojo article from '02 there's a quote from Nic where he says that he remembers doing a TV show with Peter wearing a "plastic mac" and rolling around. Peter and Guy didn't remember this when I asked, but during the writing of The Book I brought up that quote to Nic and asked what a plastic mac was. He explained that it's a sort of raincoat, etc. He said he did still have vague recollections of doing that TV show. I thought he might have just been imagining it, but your vid proves Nic was right!"

I thought Plastic Mac was a friend of Harold Apocalypse.

    WOW!
Just when you think you've seen it all... amazing video!
Is it a sync to the original version or some kind of live in the studio?
If it is a sync it looks pretty good, also it is possible to renew the soundtrack as it is very low on this video.

I agree. WOW! Even more intense than the studio version. I'm surprised more punks/new wavers didn't pick up on this era of the group. Not too far from what Ultravox (the John Foxx version) and others were doing at the time, and frankly much better!

Many thanks Herman Permentier for this new gem!
Have you got the possibility to digitalize again the Refugees clip in order to get rid of the blue frames which i understand are not part of your original film?
Also, i believe the Vimeo version of Cat's Eye is better quality than the Youtube one.

Many thanks again, that's wonderful, magical stuff.

There are vocal overdubs on it., So I don't know which version it is.
At my end, the volume is incredibly low, I have to crank up the volume and if even then, sounds very tiny in my speakers.
    Can this be fixed?

    Thanks for this rarity!
