So, is an "exiting new release" being deleted as soon as it's released?

Yeah yeah, i know i made a typo. Tapatalk wont let me edit titles.

English spelling is completely erratic anyway. The only spelling rule seems to be that there are no rules.

Good thing you got that sentece right, at least, or it could have become a very different thread very fast.

Yeah, the DEM track is great. Harkens back to the sound of Cinque to my ears.

I've had a chance to hear the Claudia Quintet CD (with a buddy who got an early review copy) and I'm not sure what to think. They're more "free" than I usually like, but not quite atonal or abstract enough to put me off either. They seem to be somewhere between straightforward and formless, so it could still be something to appreciate if you're not into total abstraction. (This is from the perspective of someone who's never heard their stuff before.)

I don't feel I should have to say this, but that Bent Knee album is truly worthy of laudation.

To be totally honest; so far I am not crazy about that one.

Just pre-ordered that one on the Cuneiform bandcamp page. What I've heard so far is very good indeed!

It's brilliant! Album of the year, tied with Knifeworld. I can't choose a favorite and I don't wanna.

That's pretty high praise. I'm glad! Since I also ordered the new Knifeworld disc from Wayside.

Vocally Knifeworld sounds like Tillison meets Morrisey...musically they also feel like a big band slightly more angular The Tangent...to me.

That's an... interesting description. I can hear some similarities between Kavus' voice and Andy Tillison's maybe. But musically, I would have to say I hear very little of The Tangent.

Yugen Death By Water is still my topper for the year... closely followed by the new Mercury Tree Permutations.

The Yugen is very very good, but not really the kind of stuff I'm into at the moment. A year or two ago I'd have loved it and the mood will probably hit me again.

I know what you mean... I've had some seriously different spans over the years. Knifeworld's new one would be #1 a few ago too.
