Not prog, but I saw Little Richard in 2003 in Westport, CT, with 2 bass players.
Not sure why since it caused a muddy sound that caused clipping of the sound system!

I think that was only for a short time in October, 1978.

Yes, it would have been then. It was at the Springfield Civic Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. One very memorable moment was when a fight broke out on the floor, Zappa stopped the band on a dime, had the follow spot operater shine down on the idiots fighting. One of them looked up dumbfounded , fist frozen in air, and Zappa told him to "be a good boy" and started the band up again right where they left off.

Would a band with a bass-player and a Fender VI count?

I'm not sure a baritone guitar would count as a bass either.

Cool- I see Stu Hamm, Billy Sheehan, Flea, Brian Bromberg, Waymon Tisdale, Marcus Miller, I think Bunny Brunel and I missing a few... fun clip.

I know it is not a band, but for two basses, this kicks. I was not really aware of Federico Malaman until about half a year ago but he is hellaciously talented- he makes it look easy. Mohini Dey is also gifted, but sometimes lets the flash take over her musicality.
I'm not lazy. I just work so fast I'm always done.
