    Any known recordings?

Are there any progressive songs that delve into the clamming profession other than the Genesis B-Side On The Shoreline?

Not sure, but I remember a good laugh here at P.E. years ago when someone brought up the sub-genre "Sea Shanty Prog" in all seriousness. Turns out there's a fair amount.

Not prog, but the 80s group "Figures on the Beach" had a song called "Clamdiggin'".

"While you're running your errands I'm on the beach and clammdiggin'". Great album, actually.

Supertramp - Hide In Your Shell
    Dream Theater - Solitary Shell

Not prog, and not about clams, but there's Squeeze's "Pulling Mussels from a Shell" so that MIGHT meet your needs.

Sting must have a song about clamming somewhere in his albums.

Wow, I was going to mention Harold Budd's "The Pearl" but decided against it. I guess I could have gone ahead with that one!

Here's an epic sea shanty. Definitely in the marine profession but further up the food chain from clams

Now this, THIS is a sea shanty

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Ah Yes, I should have thought about The Decemberists. It seems that Meloy loves singing about drowning as much as Jon Anderson loves singing about the sun, so there are plenty of "Sea Shanty" numbers in their catalog.

    Holy shnikies!

We all blanked on Blue Oyster Cult.

And don't forget the little-known late '70s Baltimore based prog band Scallop.

Here's the cover of their one, eponymous LP:
