A bit sad to watch that kickstarter page...

Maybe this clip will bring some attention:

This is how Baku Llama sounds:

    Intrigueing? I guess so...

Hahah... Thanks. To be honest I did not expect much attention.
Who knew pressing records was so expensive? Making a kickstart page takes 5 minutes.

Liking what I'm hearing. A bit Prog-Rock, a bit Goth, and a bit trippy. Almost ticks all the boxes.

I'm afraid to ask about the name.

Would it be rude to ask WHY you want to make a vinyl record?

No not rude at all. Wish I had a really good answer though. We would just love to compile a shorter set on vinyl. The CDs are too long and would have been much more effective as "albums" had up to 35% of the tracks been omitted on all three of them. Now in hindsight, Out of our 3 cds, I believe only 50% of the material is even worthy of release as finished product. ( i know some of it blows) We were a live one shot jam band so it was pretty hit and miss... I have hours and hours and hours of unuseable recordings of our music. Maybe just a few hours of useable.

BTW I know there is little if any demand... Im not delusional. Lol. Just a fun thing to do I suppose. Have an old school "Record". I may just pay for 200 copies myself and give them away to the few who like this stuff.

In the meantime, hope you don't mind exploring our old stuff.... It's pretty much available for free with nice files at archives.com

This was a throw away so I added a silly Intro... Still a throw away but has a certain sad charm if you are not paying close attention to our "musicianship"

You could always release shorter CDs.

Every time I hear the band's name I at first think it has something to do with the Djam Karet universe, because of their album A Night for Baku, and the Baku Maerd offshoot.

I know... We had not heard of Djam Karets album until after the fact. First Ann wanted the band named "Blonde llama"... I did not like it much, and I recently had read about the Japanese Baku spirit monster that supposedly eats the bad dreams of children and such.... and we sort of compromised. Then found out later that there was a Star Trek Planet called Baku where the Baku Llama resides.

Oh well... How does a band go about changing it's name when they no longer play, or even see each other anymore? We're pretty much extinct now. I keep thinking about new projects but am always busy with family and work now. I tried going it alone with a drum machine and all I have so far is this mess....

A llama once spat on my wife at the Central Park Children's zoo. The keeper asked her what had happened, and my wife said "I was feeding the sheep," and the keeper said "oh, you can't do that! They get jealous!"

I wasn't there - my wife said it was horrible, a huge gobbet of green, smelly llama cud.

Thanks John... Unless it reaches the goal, no one will lose their $... I don't expect it will anyone who donates will get a CD or two regardless whether or not the goal is met... I have about 150 left out of 1000 cds. After selling for 8 whole years.
