Keith Emerson / Rick Wakeman Jam Sessions

    Hello all,

...According to Rick, he and Keith Emerson jammed 'on a couple of occasions'. The 40 million dollar question is, were those sessions taped in any way. If anybody has an answer to this - even in the form of a torrent - I'm all ears.

    best,

There is an interview session which they did together a few years ago when Rick had a radio program.

Rick interviewed Keith for his Face to Face show. Being in the US I'm pretty unfamiliar with it save from the few shows posted on youtube.
It's nowhere to be found - at least by me - somebody else may have better luck.
Here's a bit more about it.

Anyone know the legalities of circulating an old Planet Rock show?

There was planning to tour together that never materialised, maybe it's from those rehearsals?

Rick's statement the Keith's passing mentions them jamming. http://www.rwcc.com/notice_keithemerson.asp

Rick will be playing at the Keith Emerson Tribute show in the UK in July.

hard to imagine it's very good their styles are so different---but would love to hear it---Wakemans jam with Hackett wasn't very good---Wakeman plays best with Howe and Hackett with Banks.

I bet Wakeman would give Hackett more freedom to express himself as opposed to 'ham' fisted Banks!
