    Michal Urbaniak Band recommendations?

I've really been enjoying his "Inactin" album from 1971 and wondered if there were other albums of his I should be getting. This has been such a pleasant surprise with his wife doing wordless voocals on a couple of tracks reminding me somewhat of Pascal Son. And man this is avant at times. Just a really interesting album from a guy who can play violin in ways I've don't think I've heard before. Apparently he was a child prodigy.

I'm a big fan of his stuff from that era, but I really listen to it more for Urszula Dudziak's contributions than Urbaniak's. Recommended: Constellation in Concert, Fusion (a/k/a Super Constellation), Atma.

Inactin was one of the two Avant leaning studio albums he did, the other being Paratyphus B

I don't have everything he's done since he has recorded tons but I also like the 3 more straight ahead Mahavishnu style Jazz Rock albums he did:
    Fusion
    Atma
    Fusion III

I don't have the Live album Constellation in Concert but I've heard good things
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

    Fusion III is good

And the records by Urzsula Dudziak are also very good, from that era.
I'm not lazy. I just work so fast I'm always done.

I have had Fusion and Fusion III for some time and really dig them. Recently someone here very kindly gave me a vinyl rip of the Urbaniak/Coryell album Facts of Life that has never been on CD, and I believe also turned me on to Atma, which I just got last week and have only spun once. I'd definitely recommend all these albums to 70s fusion fans.

I don't know Inactin or Paratyphus B, but I'll explore based on some of the comments I'm seeing here.

She's incredible! Is she prominent on most of his early stuff? I guess I can check that out myself. Thanks for all the recommendations.

Great information, I did have Paratyphus B and Fusion III written down before I did the thread here just based on opinions elsewhere.
The one song on Inactin called "Ekim"(I believe) really reminded me of Mahavishnu Orchestra, at least the melody line that he plays on the violin does.

I've got the live album simply titled "Live Recording" from 1971 which is very enjoyable.

A pleasure! If anyone would like a copy of the Urbaniak/Coryell album, please PM me. I'd be happy to pay it forward. It looks like this one is hopelessly OOP and will never see the light of day on CD.

    I think I just have Fusion I.

I've been on the lookout for more myself.

Are you talking about "A Quiet Day in Spring"? That's been released on CD. Or was it another album?
