I remember a few years ago, when Brainticket, Huw Lloyd-Langton and Nektar played in Cleveland. I somehow found myself sort of playing DJ, in a way, when Tommy Grenas lamented the poor quality of the pre-show and between band music he had experienced on tours. I sort of blurted out, "I've got my mp3 player", and he says, "Would you mind...?" and I said, "Sure". I had all kinds of things on that player at the time...Tangerine Dream, Soft Machine, and Alcatrazz and I forget what else. As I recall, at one point in the evening, Ladies In Waiting by Kiss came up, followed by Island In The Sun. So my friend Wiley comes over and says, "I don't mind the Kiss, but really? Alcatrazz? Island In The Sun?! I mean, I could see Kree Nakoorie, maybe". That was a fun night.
