Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
I saw them in Stockholm.

Saw the last tour. Really fun show with Mike, Bryan and Marco involved.

It's a super-charged set. Highly suggested!

has he been in other bands?

Yeah... He's been Keneally's bass player for 20+ years. Played with Steve Vai and Dethklok too.
Aristocrats too ( with Minneman and Govan )

Also, check out his solo albums.
Beller is awesome. Don;t know why he doesn't play with many other people. He deserves far more attention.

^^ He doesn't have time! He's always either working with Joe or with the Aristocrats (he's been solidly on the road for the last seven months between the two, and we've only just started this 2-month North America leg) and on the rare occasion he has time off from both at the same time, I'm probably making him do something with my music.
But you're right - he's fantastic!
I'm not the hugest shred fan around but for my money Joe is by far the best, i would love to see this band if i had the chance.
