Just picked up Ciro Perrino's Solare (Early Tapes 1979) from Bandcamp today. It's a great album of electronic music, very much in the vein late 70s early 80s Tangerine Dream or Harald Grosskopf or Jean Michel Jarre or Anthony Phillips 1984. If you happen to have the original Solare from 1980, I think you'll find this one at the least complimentary. While not totally reworked, it's still significantly different, and to my ears, preferable to the original.

"I’ve found these tape-recordings in my archives. They witness how I would have liked that my first album solo should have been in 1979. The background’s sounds in the final version were completely deleted. Here we can find the atmosphere of the interstellar deep spaces. "

Perrino had a pretty cool career, but not a lot of records to show for it. Celeste is probably the only one that got a proper release, but that was years after it was written and recorded. he also was a co-founder of Mellow Records. Nice guy too!
