My copy has been en route from overseas for a few weeks now.
I know it isn't many people's favorite MO release (even among just the 80's albums) but 'The Lake' is one of my favorite pieces of his, and I'm excited to hear the surround version.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Also, Ephemeral Sun: it's a thing and we like making things that might be your thing: https://ephemeralsun.bandcamp.com
Ironically enough, my copy was waiting in my mailbox when I got home yesterday night.
I'm not loving it tons, to be honest...the stereo mix sounds fine, but I find myself underwhelmed by the surround stuff. In particular, 'The Lake' feels a bit dryer now...maybe he went back and tried to take the "80's" out of it And as a whole the 1984 suite is interesting but doesn't feel terribly cohesive...I'm assuming (haven't read the details) that the reason we only get the 1984 suite and not the Discovery album is because he couldn't find all the multis.
On the upside...the three music videos are appropriately and hilariously VERY 80's.
Ah well, glad to have given it a shot anyway
