RIP to a clever musician. I'm sure he didn't scare himself to death.

Very sorry to hear this. Dan and his band frequently played around these parts, and I went to see him a few times. Never less than fantastic. Rest in peace, Dan.

There's a great recording from Austin City Limits with Dan and the original Hot Licks. I saw them not long after that and the were fantastic.

Yeah, didn't know he passed. An original band for the time they were playing in.
Love his number "How Can I Miss You If You Won't Go Away." I'll refrain from any wisecracks. He was also the drummer for the first hippy band, the Charlatans. Goodbye, Dan.

Looking forward to my day in court.
RIP
I remember my older brother was a huge fan. He had a bunch of their albums. Where they like a hippy, bluegrass, or jugband type of group?
