Yes they where, that's why I made it clear in my second post that it was all about the Lady.

Clue: The answer has nothing to do with Elton John.

    Cinema as in reformed Yes?

Well, I cannot really mark that as wrong, though the answer I had in mind was "Cinema Show" by Genesis.

That would have been my second guess...

    Oops! Sorry.

The only "Dana"s I have ever heard of have been female, andthe final letter 'a' usually denotes female, hence my assumption.

I'm fully in favour of the adoption of gener-neutral pronouns as some countries are doing. Most of the time, gender is irrelevant to the topic, and it's annoying having to pick a pronoun and then finding you had the wrong one.

Listen, I used to be married to a Randee, and now am married to a Gail, so all these unisex names can cause problems...

But remember, Dana Andrews was a Hollywood actor, while Dana Wynters was a Hollywood acrtress... :-)

^^ I'm stumped. I definitely can't see the prog connection with that Wheel of Impressions clip at all.

That’s Hans Lingenfelder, from Joy Unlimited.

This lady sang with a legendary prog band, can you name them?

You're right. He was also the musical leader and wrote the music for the song.

Of course that's Hans. Thought that would be tougher.

Rose Laurens is Rose Podwojny form Sandrose!

I have heard of none of these people or bands mentioned.

I realise that says more about me than about the artists, but it does mean that I think I'll quit trying to solve any of them, and simply read the thread as a source of information.

One of the male vocalists in this group has been in both a prog band and a high-profile hard rock act:
