The female-named rock song was far more common in the 60s, 70s and 80s than it is now. I miss them. Were Toto's Rosanna and Boston's Amanda the last big ones? Here are a few of my favourites from my younger days

Big Leg Emma, Doreen, Desiri, Valarie, Sharleena
Yeah it might be true, especially for us ahead of 50.
I can't now look for YouTube clips, so I'll list a few from the same artist that I still enjoy:
Al Stewart: Anna, Carol, Delia's Gone and Denise At 16.
"Beethoven can write music, thank God, but he can do nothing else on earth. ". Ludwig van Beethoven
Thinking about it now, The Sisters of Mercy and The Mission had rather a penchant for the female named song, between them they had loads: Marian, Lucretia, Emma, Alice, Fabienne, Severina, Amelia, Evangeline.
Cheezy rhyme warning: Lalena with blame ya.

Right then, that completes the trio of odd L names by big bands.
I bet the next song posted is by Styx and begins with L
Interesting showcase of the melodic Italian folk music later brilliantly incorporated into some of my all-time fave prog masterpieces.
"Beethoven can write music, thank God, but he can do nothing else on earth. ". Ludwig van Beethoven
Oh man, if you get me started on Italian pop again, we'll be here all night. I love that stuff. But no later than the 80s.

Umberto Tozzi was perhaps my mother's very favourite, and from her discography the others I can still recall are Sergio Endrigo, Demi Roussos, Paul Mauriat and Johnny Mathis.
This is one of Mauriat songs that she spun a lot during my childhood:
But my fave of them was Johnny Mathis, his voice stunned me a lot and still today. One of his songs that I heard back then I acknowledged later that it was composed by Lennon & McCartney:
What's your opinion about U.Tozzi's Angela, Eva, Barbara, Maria No, Per Angela and Stella Stai?
