Sleeping at home is killing the hotel business!
Sad news. I was a big Mott the Hoople fan in the Mott and The Hoople era. I love this song, their swansong to the "classic" Mott the Hoople period:
RIP Buffin.
...or you could love
Founding member & drummer of Mott the Hoople has passed away aged 67.
RIP
Ugh! This one is a baseball bat in the gut. I knew he's been ill, but - so close to Bowie and Squire? Poor guy. He was a huge influence on my drumming, especially in the formative years. RIP Buffin.
I'm blasting out Live now, one of my earliest albums and an early favourite band, along with Ziggy era Bowie. It's been a tough week, but poor Buffin must have been suffering with the Alzheimer's. He was so frail at the 35th anniversary Hammersmith show, and that was what 6 years ago? RIP Dale, go and join the other young dudes now.

Rest in peace, Buffin, from a long-time Mott The Hoople fan.
We're trying to build a monument to show that we were here
It won't be visible through the air
And there won't be any shade to cool the monument to prove that we were here. - Gene Parsons, 1973

Loved Mott!
Very sad news. Loved Mott the Hoople. Seen them a few times and once chatted to Dale 'Buffin' Griffin. He was a lovely guy, so sweet.
R I P Dale.
Loved Mott the Hoople. Sad to hear this. RIP
I just love Mott, such a fun and vital band. Farewell Buffin, that line about you losing your child-like dreams always broke my heart.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Never. RIP Buffin. Truly One Of The Boys and a Rock'N'Roll star.....
