A Deathwatch Beetle is a real insect. From Wiki:
The deathwatch beetle, Xestobium rufovillosum, is a woodboring beetle.
To attract mates, these woodborers create a tapping or ticking sound that can be heard in the rafters of old buildings on quiet summer nights. They are therefore associated with quiet, sleepless nights and are named for the vigil (watch) kept beside the dying or dead, and by extension the superstitious have seen the death watch as an omen of impending death.

Dont Let Go, Feels Alright - Tiger Moth Tales - The Robin 28/06/15
To be fair this forum topic covers a variety of concepts i.e. Before The Flower Kings there was Roine Stolt with The Flower King (first solo album) before The Flower Kings were formed.
Mythical creatures?
These two appear in hundreds of thousands of songs
God
Satan
The reason I found Lord of The Rings so Enid Blyton-ish...also on Immediate Records (like the Nice).
Wee fairies again...
Seriously moonlighting at the keyboards is...
I don't want to just assume that every prog fan knows everything they're "supposed to" know. There has been enough times here when somebody's listing some album title as an acronym without naming the band and I don't know wtf they're talking about. I try to do unto others as I would have them do unto me.
Kayak - Daphne mentions Apollo in the lyrics.
