I may have a new favorite brewery, Trillium in Boston, tried their Pale Ale & IPA today, both outstanding.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Went to the doctor last week and he said my triglycerides were way too high. On a diet now and beer and other alcohol is a no-no for the immediate future, at least. And me with 2 cases of home brewed porter fizzing up in the bottle. I guess I will be looking for more "quality" and less "quantity" in the future. In the past I went for both

Have any Boston-area PEers tried Trillium's product line?

They just opened up a second location in an industrial park that I drive past on my way home.

Edit: Heh,just refreshed the page and saw #202.

Hehe - just checked them out for the first time this last weekend, outstanding stuff, I will be going back soon. I don't see them being distributed anywhere so I go to the brewery which is 2 miles from my house.

So I had a sampler of the 1. Victory Hop Ranch DIPA, 2. Firkin Heavy Seas Deep Six Porter, 3. Victory Blackboard Agave IPA with Grapefruit, and 4. Stone Stochasticity Project Grainiac Amber Ale.

    Winner 2. But all good.

If you want to do this to yourself nobody will stop you. Just know the inferior ingredients and minimal care they put into it. Big name beer is all about the $$$ whereas craft beer is made by people who enjoy beer. The choice is obvious to me. Your post is the equivalent of somebody joining PE to proudly proclaim that they only listen to the music they hear on Virgin Radio.

That is funny. Because Miller Lite has little to no hop content, or B vitamins and is made from rice and corn, it is relatively unhealthy even though it has lower calories. But people I know make up for it by drinking 3 times as many of them, therefore they get more calories than drinking a good satisfying ale and no goodness.

I feel good, they were only tasters, you can see the size of the glass in the photo of my daughter, they half filled it each serving. We were rather merry from around 45 minutes in of a 3 and half hour session.

Yeah, Vic's comment was something I would've expected from Jed

They're typically four oz., correct? I had something of a false medical emergency at the AZ Strong Beer Fest in 2014, and I was asked by the EMT how much I had to drink, and I answered "Six samples" - and...jeez. - talk about being 'taken out of context' ...

So good it has to be quoted again.

A beer that's 17%? Did it just taste like alcohol?

I have some Founders Imperial Stout here at my house this weekend which is 10 point something percent....and to me it is okay, but doesn't cover up the alcohol taste quite enough.

Alter conventional thoughts of beer. IMHO, it's very good...as an after dinner sipper..a dessert?
