Exactly how much Mexican beer do you have to drink to ward off the Modelovirus?

    hey now!

Negra Modelo is the *only* mass-produced Mexican beer that's remotely drinkable
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Went to the Extreme Beer Festival yesterday, loads of fun if the beers were somewhat mixed, too many brewers trying to out do each other on the cake, peanut & fruit front.

If you wouldn't drink a beer along with any of these desserts, why would you want a beer flavored like one of them? To each his own, but some of those flavors make me gag just thinking about them.

Don't disagree, i like straight up IPA's and Stouts, a lot of these were just silly and not in a good way. Note the stars, those were straightforward beers.

Enjoying a Masthead Paper Boy New England style IPA while watching the game.
These guys have taken over the top spot among Cleveland area breweries, displacing Fat Head's, imo.

Enjoying a Bell's Hazy IPA at BW3. It's very good, but doesn't run with the big dogs in this style. Still well worth ordering down at your local.

Which one? I assume it is probably Bell's Official? If so, I agree. Decent effort, but nothing really special. It has become very popular around Kalamazoo and is on tap all over the place here. They also made a NEIPA called Sideyard which I think is a lot better, but it was a limited release. Bell's has a double NEIPA coming out in April, but I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head.

BW3 doesn't break it down further, but it's gotta be Official.

Btw, according to the data on BW3's website, Dogfish Head Slightly Mighty Session IPA compares to mass produced Light Beer in calories. It's very good beer, and if you're watching your weight, you'd do well to track this beer down.

Bell's just came out with "Light Hearted" which is a lo cal, low ABV version of Two Hearted. If I remember right it is 110 calories and 3.7% ABV. If you are looking for a light option, I would recommend it.

What is BW3? I tried looking it up and all that appeared was a full page of Buffalo Wild Wings links. That can't be right. They aren't even a good restaurant, much less experts on beer.

It is Buffalo Wild Wings. I didn't compare the data to Beer Advocate, but that would be easy enough to do. As for the food, the mango habanero wings are pretty good, and they had a bogo deal yesterday.

I have only been to the Buffalo Wild Wings here, and they suck. It is possible the chain does better elsewhere. After all, they manage to stay in business in a harsh climate for restaurants. Do you have a link to the part of their website dealing with beer?

You have to enter the location of the BW3 nearest you and then click menu > tap list. It lists calories, ABV, etc. This link should get you to mine. (Might be the same everywhere.)

They are not my main watering hole by any stretch, but a nice change up now and then.

A good local brewer, must be a special release, will need to see if anyone has it on tap.

Sodie by the way is what we st louisans call soda pop, and Highway 40 is know as highway farty.

All the brewers tend to do special releases for the festival. That one was one of my favorites.
