I blame Wynton, what was the question?

ND: Stone 'Ruination' DIPA. NP: '70s Klaus Schulze.

I always assumed Amstel Light must be a good light beer, else Metallica wouldn't have sang about it in "Enter Sandman." But maybe I misheard.

I thought it was too late, based on when you guys brought it up, and I hadn't been able to find it, but the tide turned today. I bought 2 sixes of The Oracle. Haven't tried it yet, but consider it a bit of luck.
^^^ Enjoy!
Since Michael has announced the band sets and set up schedule, and there's only 15 minutes between the 1st and 2nd acts Saturday maybe the Beer Snob Hierarchy, Cognoscenti, Head Honchos have an alternate tasting plan other than after the first set. After 2nd set?
School starts this Tuesday and then I will only drink on Fri/Sat (fucks with my sleeping). So this is the last Sunday I can have a beer until Labor Day, and then it's a long run until Thanksgiving. So I'm having a couple of Summit's Dakota Soul, a great Czech Pilsener with a solid finish.

This upcoming ProgDay weekend at the DFH brewery, they will be releasing a couple beers. One is a limited edition of 250 bottles of Bourbon Barrel 120 Minute. 750ml size bottles, limit 2 at $30 each. ProgDay definitely wins out but damn, that BB 120 sounds good!
I have a vintage bottle of beer that I may bring to Progday. If anyone is interested in purchasing it, I will be taking offers...Thomas_Hardys_Ale_1981 (1).jpg

How much do you want for it? I drank a 2002 a couple years ago, it was excellent.

I got a bottle that, aged somewhere in the late 90s. Just waiting for a certain special occasion.

Tried a California brew called Bear Republic Red Rocket Ale, supposedly a Scottish style amber ale. I don't know if it was authentic, having tried ales from Scotland and a few American "Scottish Style" ales that were somewhat dissimilar to their Scottish forebears, but it sure was tasty. Spellbound and wife seal of approval. Other than that we have on hand Founders Session IPA (they disappear so fast in summer that I could swear there is a hole in the fridge), Arrogant Bastard Ale, and Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA. The latter is an IPA out of Bend, Oregon, readily available on draft here in the west, and a model for what a western IPA should be.

Makin' like Vic, hanging out at the local, sipping on a Madtree PsycHOPathy and waiting for them to bring the dinner order.

Drinking a new DIPA from Trillium, Storrowed, juicy with a little dankness, very nice.
