Speaking of Founders. They are bringing back Double Trouble DIPA this summer. If you have never had it it is really good, and they have not brewed it for several years.

OK... we may have done this already in years past but

what's yer favorite 'go-to' beer that you drink 50% of the time or more?

mine is Lost Coast - 8 Ball
    Oatmeal Stout
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

I don't really drink any beer more than 10% of the time, but if I got my choice of anything and I'm not looking for something I haven't had before then :-

I used to have go-to beers. For a while it was Sierra Nevada's Torpedo (haven't had one for a couple years now), or Otter Creek's "Backseat Berner", or Lawson's "Sip Of Sunshine". I will still come back to SoS once in a while, but in the last couple of months I have become unmoored. I'm just roaming about trying whatever I feel like and not worrying that I have to keep a certain beer in my refrigerator.

A couple of my recent favorite breweries of late don't seem to have a flagship beer or at least not one you can get reliably. They just keep making different beers (seemingly within certain style parameters) and giving them new names. Frost Beer Works and River Roost fit that description. It keeps things interesting.

My go-to is Bell's Two-Hearted, followed closely by Surly Furious and Fulton's Sweet Child of Vine. I nearly always have these in the fridge in the temperate months.

Yeah, that's a really a good beer. I was in their brewery last weekend, had a few superb beers particularly a sour aged in white and red wine barrels.

I am not sure how well this is known, but Founders is partially owned by Mahou San Miguel from Spain which might make their beers more likely to be found in Europe.

Interesting question. As others mention I don't really have a go to that I drink all the time, but because of its availability here I do drink a lot of Bell's Two Hearted and Oberon. My go to session drinking beer is often Founders All Day IPA.

I had a nice Foley Brother's "Skeleton Crew" double IPA last night. Right up there with the IBU's but tasty.

    That makes sense.
Their own beers are generally completely uninteresting imo, therefore logically ubiquitous. Like pop music.

We just had 4+ inches of rain in the last 24 hours and today is partly cloudy with ridiculously high winds. So I'm switching from summer beers and having a couple Left Hand Brewing's Nitro Milk Stout.

I don't have a go to beer. I rotate between what's the most in the fridge and cellar (Oak Aged World Wide Stout, regular WWS, 120 minute, KBS) with new barrel series stuff from Founders, different IPAs.

Just ran across this article yesterday, "The Best Beers in America", as indicated by the ratings on Untappd, BeerAdvocate, and RateBeer. I'd have to say I've only had a few of them (Dogfish Head, Flying Dog) as most seem to be products of local artisanal breweries with limited distribution. Anyone have experience with any of these? https://www.thedailymeal.com/drink/1...merica-gallery

I think I've had four: Heady Topper, Bell's Two-Hearted, Maharaja, and the DuckRabbit Porter. All very good. I've had others by some of the represented breweries, but those are the only four specifics I've had. I've had to travel for all but the Maharaja.

I've had the below from the list and various others from the named breweries if not the same beer (Tree House, Other Half, Hill Farmstead, Grimm) I'd say it's a pretty damn good selection, some are certainly easier to get than others, Anchor, Stone, Dogfish, Allagash, Flying Dog, Bells, Founders have pretty broad distribution. The others do take some searching.

    Russian River Pliny The Younger
    Stone Xocoveze
    Anchor Steam
    Bourbon County Stout
    Three Floyds Zombie Dust
    Maine Dinner
    Allagash White
    Trillium DDH Congress Street
    Founders KBS
    Bells Two Hearted
    Evil Twin Double Barreled Jesus
    Fat Heads Hop Juju
    Tired Hands Alien Church
    Alchemist Heady Topper
    Lawsons Sip Of Sunshine
    Dogfish Head 90

    90 Minute
    Palo Santo Marron
    Bourbon County Stout
    Zombie Dust

    I've had the following:

    Anchor Brewing Company Anchor Steam
    Oskar Blues Ten FIDY
    Avery Brewing Co. The Maharaja
    Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA
    Three Floyds Zombie Dust
    Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS)
    Bell’s Two Hearted
    Bell's Black Note Stout
Dark Horse Plead the 5th Imperial Stout
    Columbus Brewing Company Bodhi
Great Lakes Brewing Company Chillwave Double IPA
    Fat Head’s Brewery Hop JuJu
Hoppin' Frog Brewery B.O.R.I.S. The Crusher
    Prairie Artisan Ales Bomb!
    The Alchemist Heady Topper

And probably (don't remember for certain) New Glarus Spotted Cow

It is a strong list, but how Anchor Steam, 90 Minute, Ten Fidy and Chillwave make this list is beyond me. Especially given some of the omissions.
