I have not actually tried it. Not a huge Scotch Ale fan myself, but I will give it a try one of these days.

I guess the Founder's Backwoods Bastard isn't a stout, it's a dark ale, and delicious!

I brought a bottle to Wisconsin for one of my wife's relatives who is a beer snob to crack open this afternoon. Brought him a bottle of Black Note too.

I had not heard that. They usually don't release it until Kalamazoo Beer Week, which is later in the month, but next week is cool with me.

Steve, I just saw a pic of what's on tap at Bell's. Something called Captain Long Haul. It's rum barrel aged Black Note. I wish I was in Kazoo!!

Just picked up some Second Fiddle by Fiddlehead Brewing Company. Had it on tap somewhere a couple years ago but I don't recall much about it. Just happened to find it in the store. About to open one in 3...2....1...

That's a classic Belgian bottle type. The Kastel beer I posted a bit earlier uses the same bottle shape.

Speaking of Gulden Draak, here he is in Ghent, Belgium:

And here is the new one, in situ:
