Ale and Skyrim? I've spent a few Saturday afternoons that way, until I took an arrow to the knee...

And now for something completely different...

Lovely beer, haven't been to the brewery yet, my daughter forgot to take me when she went.

    Literally? Is everything healing nicely?

Also now for something completely different ...

Not just my city getting a shoutout for its beer scene, but my actual neighborhood. There are quite literally five breweries I can walk to in NoDa. Pretty cool seeing my small 'hood referenced alongside bearded hipsterdoms like Portland and Austin.

Might be no beer in heaven, but there sure as shit is some in NoDa.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.

We are in a craft beer bubble, my friends. Let's enjoy the complex variety while we can.

    CHEERS!

    nd: Founders PC Pils
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

Founders Pils is a nice drinkable session brew. I have always liked it.

Agree, founders whole IPA stable is really solid. Along with Centennial, All Day IPA is my absolute favorite session beer. Mosaic IPA is another good one from them. Redanculous Rye PA is also off the charts. Unfortunately my favorite Founders Double IPA Double Trouble they stopped making for some reason.

I have good and bad news for Michigan micro drinkers.

Apparently Bell's will not be brewing Oracle this year. Usually it comes out right about now, but I have been told they are not doing it. On a positive note Revolution Brewing out of Chicago will begin distribution in the state starting next week. They make some great stuff if you have never had it.

To each his own, of course, but it's a middle-of-the-pack IPA for me. I can't remember the last time I bought any, but it's certainly not bad.

Hmmm. just thinking here..How about all of us Prog Beer Snobs going to ProgDay get together at a designated time/place and all have a beer together..?? Obviously in between sets..Possibly officiate someone who doesn't imbibe to document the occasion? It could be the 1st of hopefully many to come?

    Yes they do.
The taste is as small and forgettable as the photo. Its a beginners beer for teenagers, no hops, no taste. Like Heineken or Budweiser etc.

This is good and an IPA btw:
    Alefarm Saturated IPA 7%
    https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/alefarm-saturated/538839/
    https://www.facebook.com/alefarmbrewing/

Whithout any doubt the most interesting and tasty beer I have had for a long period (years?) !
Tastes somewhat like very hoppy bubbly grapejuice.

I just had one of these: juan cordero pale ale (mexico)

    https://untappd.com/b/cerveceria-ins...banero/2232503

Fresh, fruty, and more hoppy than most pale ales.

I remember it being an Ale though... and the reason why I drank a lot of it was because I used to get it for 2.99 a six

For those that loved the apocalypse 9.8 from NEARfest try the locally brewed

The kick of a Belgium quad but no carbonation like a quad

    Aviator Brewing Company

    DEVIL’S TRAMPING GROUND TRIPEL

    9.2% alc/vol SRM: 4 IBU: 31
This Tripel ale will grow hair in places you don’t want. Our Tripel is a golden colored ale that has a fruity spicy flavor that finishes a bit sweet. The Devil’s Tripel is light tasting from the addition of candy sugar. We add just the right amount of hops to balance out the sweetness.
Available in 4-pack/12oz Cans, 4-pak/16oz Cans, 50L kegs, and 1/6bbl kegs

That would be cool, although since almost no one uses their real names on this site, I don't know who most of you are.
