No Trillium, Tree House, or Other Half - a bit suspect.

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Apparently my 48th different Trillium beer, a DDH Melcher Street, 7.2%, and quite outstanding.

Yeah, it's a little IPA heavy. But I like that for once a beer list is not over-focused on the west coast/east coast brews.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart
Picked up some Baxter STOWAWAY at the grocery store when my wife asked me to pick up a few things (I still can't get used to the idea of being able to buy beer at the supermarket in this puritanical state) and I enjoyed a couple with my dinner. Really nice, maltier than most IPAs.
https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/23922/65842/ rating "very good".
Phew. I would have hated to have liked it and then read that I was wrong.
OK, here's the list from my beer haul from our trip to the Twin Cities. Warning to those who are averse to IPAs, this isn't going to make you happy. It's summer dammit and I like my summer beer like my women: pale and bitter!

I think I discovered that I dont like Bell's Two Hearted in the bottle. Enjoying a draft one now on the Carolina coast and I really like it. Not so much in our local bottles in Maryland.
Good to know we are drinking some good beers out there..Picked up a 15 pack of Lagunitas 12th of Never Ale , I like it..
Recently had Old Nation M-43 IPA. This is really outstanding. When I first tried it I knew I'd found my "official" Storybrook Farm beer for this year. (Other beers at night of course).

Yea, that stuff is selling like hotcakes around Kalamazoo right now. As soon as a store gets some it sells out. I managed to snag a can of it off a stranger at a cookout a couple of weeks ago and it is really really good. I have never had anything else from the brewery, in fact I had never even heard of them until the hype on this beer started spilling all over the internet back in the late spring.

Opened this rather excellent Thomas Hardy Ale barleywine 11.7% that I've been aging for 10 years, wonderfully complex.
