Bolts make quick work of the Bruins. As one has come to expect.

Expecting the Islanders to be a tougher matchup.

Nothing is ever easy. Isles lose again to Flyers again in OT. Back at it Thursday.

A couple of years ago I recorded the documentary The NHL: 100 Years. I don't know what took me so long, but I finally got around to watching it this weekend. It's a really interesting history of the league, starting back in 1917 when there were only four teams, the Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Wanderers, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Arenas. If this is the kind of thing that interests you, I highly recommend watching this documentary if you get the opportunity.

    Here's a trailer. https://www.nhl.com/video/the-nhl-10...250/c-54855603

If you scroll down the page, the doc is available, broken into four episodes.

Wasn't really expecting much and got less than expected. Tomorrow will tell if there is a series here or not.

I had not seen such terrible Isles playoff hockey since blueshirts slaughtered Hextall in 94

Good game, isles gave them everything they had but not enough. Gonna be tough to get back into this series

Point’s injury status will be huge for Tampa. Happy to see them gut one out with only 9 forwards.

A great series out brewing with the Stars and Golden Knights except I got up to get something to eat and was walking back to my chair and the OT goal was scored. I was looking forward to an epic OT with a bunch of food and I was just left with the food

Both goalies played great and both seemed to be hurting in the 3 period. Interesting to see what develops.

Not surprising that a prog fan would look forward to an "epic" event

We wouldn't have it any other way.

And in other news, the Isles made it a series yesterday with a solid win. Bolts still up 2-1.

I don't follow the players in the league like I did years ago, and I didn't realize how good this guy is until I have been watching most all of the playoff games this year.

Two tvs for football - one for local OTA games, one for RedZone.

One for Mets 3pm start (yea i know)

And of course, Isles on the main screen.

Dont know if I have enuff beer or X-)

The first three goals were scored within a thirty second span.

Wasn't expecting that. Isles have dug themselves a hole here.

Hate to say it but the TV for local football games this year could probably be put to better use.

I gotta get out more. Watched a big chunk of the Tour De France yesterday morning, a little basketball (buh bye Houston), the Isles/Bolts hockey game, a bit of the football Jets for a laugh (my family is split 50/50 Jets/Giants), and kept an eye on the Yankee baseball game. Crazy all these different sports are all on the same day.

    What a shitty sports day

    - Vikings look f-ing awful, Cousins a joke.
    - Mets bullpen takes a winnable game and poops on it as usual
    - Isles.....
    - My fantasy football team would have beaten anyone else this week in my league - except my opponent - unless my PK scores 23 tonight! lol

So yeah, not enuff beer etc to get thru.

My wife and watched the NHL documentary a couple of days ago. Well worth seeking out, lots of interviews and old footage.
