Yeah...something needs to be done with this dirtbag or somebody is going to get hurt bad. Panarin is out for the season, but he was inches away from some serious brain trauma there. Not to mention 230lbs behind a stick on Buchie's neck on the ice right before that. Clearly the guy can't control himself.
On a personal fan of the Rangers level...they desperately need to add more muscle. It's maddening to see them unable to protect each other properly.

In 2021, NHL players shouldn't have to protect each other from garbage like Wilson. All this "It's hockey, get over it" is BS. It wasn't "hockey" when Dave Schultz pummeled anybody who looked at Bobby Clarke sideways in 1974, and it's not "hockey" now.
The Red Wings continue to be a mess. I love coach Jeff Blashill. He turned WMU here in Kalamazoo into a national contender before moving to the Red Wings organization. He then coached the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins to the Calder Cup. When he got the Red Wings job I really thought he would kick ass. Unfortunately, he is now in his 6th year and the winged wheel is still at the bottom of the standings. After the Calder Cup win I thought the Red Wings had enough young talented players in their pipeline that by now they would be at least a solid playoff team. That has not happened. If this were not a COVID year I think Blashill would be gone after this season. Because of the odd situation, he might survive one more year, so we’ll see, but unless things start moving upward soon he will be gone. I really thought the Red Wings would be contenders again by now.
Caps won 6 of 7 when he got banned a couple weeks ago.

Its one thing if two players square up and go at it. It something totally different to do what Wilson did yesterday. Multi repeat offender, would be happy if he got 40 or more games.
Its baffles me that he does this because he does have hockey talent.

I'll be curious to see today how they handle the situation with Shane Gostisbehere from last night.
Everyone will be watching, but I honestly think nothing will happen in the game tonight. Maybe Brendan Smith fights Wilson. Rangers just aren't built to knock guys around.

I know Dan Snyder is generally bandied about as the worst owner in sports, but IMO Dolan is easily the worst...this just adds another layer to the cake. Optimism decreasing.
