Looking for a bright spot on a very dark subject; the Isles can hopefully regroup after their big time collapse.

With the season probably over Ovi may not have a chance to break the scoring record.

Here we go kids. A potential playoff format for the 2019/2020 Stanley Cup.

Probably abit too many teams (I probably would have capped it at 20), but if that's what it takes to get hockey then lets go nuts.
Out of curiosity, did every team that was mathematically eligible to grab the eighth seed make the cut? That would make this easy to understand as well.

More unbelievable than the resumption of play is that the Habs still have a chance to win the cup!!!
PS Hobo- the 8 first round qualifiers were determined by point percentage at the time of season suspension. The only close one was Montreal vs Buffalo, but even Buffalo went along with the proposal.
Last night we watched the 1994 game where Gretzky beat Gordie Howe's record for most NHL goals. It's cool to be able to watch old games and relive those kind of moments. It's not quite the same as watching the 2020 season playoffs, but still fun!

So I haven't watched or followed hockey for about six or seven years now. It's nearly impossible for me to stay up late during the school year (high school teacher), and, honestly, there's just far too much on my plate from October-March to follow hockey.
So I am super excited about the summer playoffs. I'll need a team, and given where I am, the Carolina Hurricanes make sense.
I guess I'm a Cane-iac now.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.
Not really a hockey fan but if they start playing, and sports bars open up I'll be watching.
"The league plans to play three games a day in each city during the qualifying round, without fans in attendance. Game times will be staggered, meaning fans will be able to watch 11+ hours of hockey every day".
11+ hours EVERY DAY! I think this is the literal translation of Eat Breathe Sleep Hockey.

Daytime games! I'm seeing reduced productivity at work in August.
Nothing like dealing with the FDIC while yelling about the Isles miserable power play!!!
