Looks like I'll have to record the game on Saturday night, since I won't be home to watch it.

Tavares will go up to Gil and say - "Thought I heard you passed? My parents loved your lyrics on subdivisions - it's their fave"

This weekend is HHOF weekend in Toronto. It was a very emotional weekend with Borje Salming in town. If you weren't aware, Salming was diagnosed with ALS earlier this year and recently lost the ability to speak. Friday night was the introduction of the 2022 inductees, which always includes former inductees, and watching Daryl Sittler's reaction to the crowd's ovation for Salming made me tear up. Then last night there was a very moving tribute to Salming before he performed the ceremonial puck drop. The Leafs first shift was made up entirely of Swedish players in tribute.

Video of Friday nights crowd reaction.

    Yeah I saw that...emotional stuff!

Meanwhile Rangers getting lots of shots, but having trouble burying it...frustrating.

Refs can't use the overhead replay to call a high stick they didn't see during live action! That's bullshit.

Was it a high stick? Yes but it was missed - calls get missed all game.

Just coz guy is writhing like a European football diva and forces the game to stop doesn't allow the refs to watch the big board replay and make the "call" subsequently after the fact....

Officiating has been especially awful this season. Every post game presser you see coaches biting their lips for fear of getting fined.

Eff Yeah Beauvilier! Eff yeah Sorokin!

Can't help it - for me Maple Leaf 'dislike' really only began with Tucker and his Dirty Kasparaitis-like destruction of Peca's knee.

And since then in Casa MudShark - especially Mrs. Shark actually, these games approach Ranger level 'intensity'.

Yeah - time for a beer! (an Estrella Galicia)

Beau woke up from his slumber with a great shot in OT. Actually, he had a very good game. I'm assuming Coach had something to say to him

Borje Salming RIP - ALS tough way to go.
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound.

Wonderful that they were able to honor him in Toronto just a week ago. I saw him play many times. He was a hell of a player.

Good luck in Minny, Reavo! Was a good Ranger especially last year when they needed to establish an identity as a tougher club. It had to be done to free cap space for possible trade moves and we get a 5th rounder.

This Rangers fan and Isles non-fan would like to thank Oliver Wahlstrom for rag-dolling the Philly d-man who shall remain nameless.

This Isles fan throughly enjoyed it. Tuesday nights rematch in Philly should be interesting. Expecting Ross Johnston to suit up.
