It kind of bogged down about this point and felt like they could have spent some of that time on the the next couple of seasons.

    2) My biggest complaint is at the end when they said watch an extended version on ESPN plus. Wtf is that shit. If they wanted to make this an espn plus exclusive just do that...don't put a castrated version on tv. Has anyone watched the extended version? If so, how extended is it? Is the new stuff interspersed throughout or is it all at the end (like a part II or coda)? Do they get into their playoff series in the other years after the TV documentary ends (with the Wings 98 victory)?

But overall a fun show that did well with what it actually did do.
I had the chance to watch the rest of the doc this afternoon. I agree with you that it sucks they put the extra content on ESPN+. I actually have a subscription (I get it for WMU football), but it sucks that they charge extra for it.

Regarding the Vlady section of the doc., yes they did focus on him quite a bit, but here in Michigan that was big big news. I still distinctly remember when he showed up at the Stanley Cup final in 98, it was a complete surprise to everyone and it still makes the hairs on my arms stand up. It was an emotional moment for all Red Wings fans. Anyway, yes they did kind of completely stop talking about anything after 98. The Red Wings won the cup again in 2002 with most of the same players, but that was only mentioned in passing at the end.

For Spezza and Chara, who both were playing a dozen years after Yasmin went back to Russia. I donít blame Yashin because he had absolutely nobody to play on his line

If Darcy Tucker had not essentially ended Peca's career with that cheap shot "check' to the knee... that Yashin team could've gone somewhere.

    Fucking Leafs....

Liked Peca a lot and he was a solid 2nd line center, but they were far from scaring anyone in the playoffs. Tuckers shot started a couple of fights back in the day.

The draft always brings some deals and transactions.

The Avs trading for Georgiev means that Kuemper will in almost all likelihood be playing somewhere else next season.

The Pens signing Letang makes Malkin's exit more likely.

Red Wings have pick #8. Hoping we can pick up another top notch young prospect. There are rumors that Yzerman might try to trade up into the top 3. If they stick with #8 he says they will pick the best player regardless of positions. He was also quoted as saying there is much concern in the league about drafting Russian players due to the Ukraine situation.

Isles pick #13 then I believe last in Round 2.
Both Isles targets IMO will be gone by 13 (Lambert (F) and Korchinski (D))

So who knows... but the cupboard is bare in prospects down @ Bridgeport, so I would keep the pick vs trading

Isles trade #13 for Alexander Romanov of MTL. A solid defensive dman but I don't get it. The 13th pick to replace Greene or Chara? Hope Lou has something up his sleeve.

Edit: After thinking this over, itís not as bad as it seems. A solid hitter on the back line is always a good thing. Young, cheap and that should leave Pulock, Pelech, Mayfield, Romanov, Chara and the one I forgot, Dobson. Big omission on my part. No word on Greene or Chara but you canít have him and Chara both. Big Z played well in the second half. Still have Aho and Salo on the farm. More trades to come...

Condolences to Blackhawks fans whose team management has decided to rebuild by trading away Dach and DeBrincat while holding on to Kane and Toews. Makes no sense whatsoever.

Yeah... Lou is intent on somehow getting this core 80% into the Finals...

But I disagree trading #13 but I will need to review the first 12 taken first this morning on train....

How desperate is a team to dump salary when they make a trade like this:

Arizona gets: Zach Kassian, 29th overall pick, future 2nd round pick, future 3rd round pick
    Edmonton gets: 32nd overall pick

Well once Geekie was taken at 11, I guess it was better to trade back.....

That trade is just as much about Arizona getting to the floor as the Oilers dumping salary.

Red Wings get their young goaltender with a trade for Toronto's Ville Husso.

Former Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashiel replaces new Red Wing head coach as an assistant in the Tampa Bay organization. Kind of strange, but hopefully it will work out for both teams.

Free agency just got even more interesting with Gaudreau's entry into the market. Rarely do we see a player of his caliber become a UFA. Should be a very active first day of free agency tomorrow.

They already have Nedeljkovic, who is actually younger than Husso. Husso was great at times for the Blues last year; will be interesting to see how that comprtition plays out.

You are correct, I had forgotten that Nedeljkovic is actually the younger guy. Greisse will likely be the odd man out in all of this. It will be interesting to see who emerges as #1 and #2.
